Fitment and suitability can vary substantially between vehicles, so the vehicle make, model, year, existing seat, mounting arrangement and electrical requirements should be confirmed before selecting a replacement. For road-registered vehicles, the suitability of the seat and installation must also be considered as part of the vehicle’s applicable compliance requirements.
Replacement Truck Seats & Suspension Seating
The Seat Shop supplies selected replacement seating for trucks and transport applications, with options available across different vehicle, suspension and operator requirements.
Truck seats can vary significantly in suspension design, mounting pattern, overall height, adjustment, electrical requirements and restraint configuration. Depending on the model, available features may include air suspension, fore/aft adjustment, backrest recline, lumbar support, adjustable armrests and other operator-comfort features.
A replacement truck seat therefore needs to be selected for the actual vehicle and installation rather than simply by comparing the appearance of the old and new seats.
Selecting a Seat for a Truck or Road-Registered Vehicle
For road-registered vehicles, physical fitment alone does not establish that a replacement seat or installation is suitable.
The existing mounting system, seat and seat-belt arrangement, restraint anchorages and any adaptor or modification required for installation may need to be considered. Where a proposed installation changes the original vehicle configuration, applicable road-vehicle and modification requirements may also need to be established.
This makes accurate identification particularly important with truck seating.
If you need a replacement truck seat, send us the vehicle make and model, a photograph of the complete existing seat and a clear photograph of the seat identification plate. Where relevant, we may also need information about the mounting arrangement, electrical supply and existing seat-belt configuration before recommending an option.
The objective is not simply to find a seat that will physically fit into the available space, but to identify an appropriate complete-seat option for the particular vehicle and installation.
